What to expect…

To ensure your privacy there are only two cabins at Mirrambeena and they are a kilometre from the main house nestled in a secluded tree-covered valley next to Spring Creek. Set on 300 acres of native Aussie bushland this is a place for the nature lovers … resident lyrebirds and black cockatoos are always around, kangaroos and wallabies graze at dawn and dusk and echidnas creep down the hill to the have a drink at the creek each night.

There is no electricity at the cabins (so that means no TV… yay!)…It's gas cooking, fridge, hot water and lights, a rechargeable torch and fluorescent lantern are also provided. Water is piped from the top of the cascading waterfall 80 metres above the cabins so the pressure is outstanding and the catchment for Spring Creek is mainly bushland which means virtually no cow poo or chemicals.

The cabins have proper flushing toilets and showers. CDMA mobile reception is fine most of the time…. digital is dodgy on good day but you'll get reception just up the road. All linen, towels, cooking utensils, plates etc are provided, just bring your food (there's also a camp oven for the fire so don't forget flour for the dampa). Wood is provided for the indoor fireplace and the outdoor bbq/fireplace (there's a gas bbq as well). It does get cold outside at night through winter so bring a jumper and your uggies. The granite boulders around the property are truly amazing and make for an awe-inspiring bushwalk. Please bring your dog if it's well behaved… no chasing wildlife or persistent barking.
